Independent Physicians Medical Center is looking for a medical receptionist with a minimum of 3 years of medical experience in a high-volume hospital setting or a pre-med student. Tasks include performing a wide variety of clinical, administrative, and human relations functions, meeting and greeting patients while assisting them with registration, scheduling patients’ appointments, and assisting physicians.
It is a part-time position for 20-25 hours per week, including evening hours.

Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
We are looking for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant who is experienced and dedicated to join our team. As the on-site provider, the ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, allowing us to offer a wider range of services, including providing same-day sick visits to patients from the Pinnacle Physician Group and covering injection studies. This role is crucial to improving our patient care capabilities and ensuring safety during procedures that require medical oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee contrast injections for radiological exams, ensuring protocols are followed for patient safety.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast material and provide immediate medical intervention as needed.
- Conduct same-day sick visits for patients referred by Pinnacle Physician Group doctors, offering urgent care-like services within our facility.
- Collaborate with radiologists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Maintain detailed patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Stay informed on the latest developments and best practices in radiology and urgent care to improve patient care quality continuously.
- Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and health maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related healthcare setting, with prior experience in radiology or urgent care preferred.
- Exceptional clinical skills, including managing and providing urgent care services.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, family members, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Bookkeeper
IPMC is looking for a part-time bookkeeper (20 hours a week) to oversee financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions
- Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Maintain historical records by filing documents.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Compile with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
