Worker’s Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident Insurance
IPMC Independent Physicians Medical Center does accept W/C (Worker’s Compensation) and some MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) insurance cases.
For W/C’s you will need:
- The insurance company name and telephone number
- The claim number
- Date and state where the accident occurred
- The name and telephone number of your attorney
- The name and telephone number of your adjuster
- Your Social Security number
- The injury officially accepted by the W/C insurance
For MVA’s you will need:
- The insurance company name and telephone number
- The claim number
- Date and state where the accident occurred
- The name and telephone number of your attorney
- The name and telephone number of your adjuster
- If your accident is over 2 months old we can accept you only with valid health insurance. If your health insurance requires a precertification, the referring doctor has to obtain it before the study. This is done for your protection as well as ours. We will bill your MVA insurance first and only bill your health insurance if your MVA insurance no longer has any funds. If we do not have your health insurance you will be required to pay a small portion of the fee upfront (this may be returned to you if your motor vehicle claim covers the procedure) and sign a document stating that in the case that your MVA insurance no longer has funds you will be solely responsible for the cost of treatment.
For letters of protection:
We only accept letters of protection from the following attorneys:
- Samuel Fishman
- Lawrence Kalikhman
- Eric Rayz
- Amy Sokolson
- Michael Steiman
- Marc Gordon
- Jay Solnick
- Gerald Segal
- Leonard Hill
- Donald Krain
