Most of us take for granted that we live in an age where science fiction becomes an everyday reality. The advances made in diagnostic medical imaging during the last century have completely changed medicine. Radiology, the science (and art) of using radiation, sound waves, and magnetic resonance to create images of the inside of the human body, is one of the main tools used by medical professionals to diagnose, prevent and treat diseases.

At IPMC we pride ourselves on our winning combination of cutting-edge technology and experienced and caring doctors and technologists. Our registered technologists work hard to get the best images while keeping you as comfortable as possible, while our board-certified radiologists are there to read your images and provide a report for your referring physician. Most importantly, your images will always be read onsite, by one of our radiologists, not outsourced to another country.

IPMC is an all-digital office and we rely on the radiography machines from Siemens – the global leader in radiology. Though the radiology images are still referred to as “films”, all your studies can now be viewed for comparison by the radiologist on one computer. This approach allows for more accurate readings of your tests. However, should you wish, we are always glad to print a copy of your images on actual films or a CD, to keep for your own medical records.
