De hecho, pr\u00e1cticamente hemos eliminado el uso de papel. No solo es beneficioso para el medio ambiente, sino que tambi\u00e9n ha tenido un impacto fenomenal en nuestra eficiencia, en la conveniencia para m\u00e9dicos y pacientes, en la calidad de atenci\u00f3n y en los tiempos de entrega. Todo esto es posible gracias a una excelente herramienta llamada RIS.<\/p><hr class=\"the7-p-gap\" style=\"padding-bottom: 30px;\" \/><h4>Radiology Information System (RIS)<\/h4><p>El Sistema de Informaci\u00f3n Radiol\u00f3gica, o RIS por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s, es esencialmente una base de datos con la informaci\u00f3n de los pacientes. Imagina un expediente m\u00e9dico que puede ser consultado desde cualquier computadora (siempre que se tenga acceso, por supuesto. \u00a1Nos tomamos la ley HIPAA muy en serio!). Cada prescripci\u00f3n, tarjeta de seguro, informe externo, an\u00e1lisis de sangre, autorizaci\u00f3n del seguro, etc. est\u00e1 escaneado. Todos los estudios que el paciente se haya realizado en nuestra cl\u00ednica est\u00e1n en un solo lugar, y tanto las im\u00e1genes como los informes son accesibles en cualquier momento y desde cualquier lugar. Tambi\u00e9n ofrecemos acceso a los m\u00e9dicos remitentes, para que puedan ver inmediatamente cualquier estudio para el que hayan emitido una prescripci\u00f3n.<\/p><hr class=\"the7-p-gap\" style=\"padding-bottom: 30px;\" \/><h4>Acceso para m\u00e9dicos remitentes<\/h4><p>Cuando los m\u00e9dicos remitentes obtienen su informaci\u00f3n de inicio de sesi\u00f3n personal, pueden acceder a todos los estudios de sus pacientes. A partir de ese momento, solo tienen que iniciar sesi\u00f3n en RIS y ver\u00e1n una lista de todos los pacientes para los que han emitido una prescripci\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n podr\u00e1n ver a los pacientes que los hayan a\u00f1adido como m\u00e9dico remitente (hasta un m\u00e1ximo de 3). Esto es especialmente \u00fatil si un m\u00e9dico de atenci\u00f3n primaria quiere revisar un estudio solicitado por un especialista, o viceversa.<\/p><hr class=\"the7-p-gap\" style=\"padding-bottom: 30px;\" \/><h4>Todo a un clic<\/h4><p>El RIS de IPMC ofrece acceso al pedido, las im\u00e1genes y el informe del estudio, todo con solo un clic. Adem\u00e1s, como todas nuestras im\u00e1genes son digitales, tambi\u00e9n se pueden consultar a trav\u00e9s del sistema RIS. Cuando entregamos las im\u00e1genes al paciente en forma de CD o diapositiva, el archivo original siempre permanece guardado en nuestra base de datos.<\/p><hr class=\"the7-p-gap\" style=\"padding-bottom: 30px;\" \/><h4>Sistema de citas integrado<\/h4><p>Otra ventaja es que esta base de datos tambi\u00e9n incluye el sistema de programaci\u00f3n de citas. As\u00ed, cuando un paciente es programado para un procedimiento, con un solo clic sobre el enlace de la cita, el tecn\u00f3logo, el personal o el radi\u00f3logo pueden ver todo el expediente del paciente. Esto no solo hace el proceso m\u00e1s conveniente para todos, sino que tambi\u00e9n reduce la posibilidad de errores humanos.<\/p><p>Sabemos que estar a la vanguardia de la tecnolog\u00eda requiere trabajo constante, aprendizaje y actualizaciones.
